For a good acclimatization it is necessary to rest as much as possible the first day, to eat little and to drink abundant liquid, especially the maté of coca, that possesses well-known curative and digestive properties. Adequate acclimatization prevents it from affecting "soroche" or altitude sickness, which could cause numerous health problems.
