Upon arrival in Cuzco city. Reception at the airport and transfer to your selected hotel where you will have spare time for acclimatization and avoid future problems with altitude, In the afternoon, start the visit of the most important places of the city (city tour) As the first site we’ll visit is Koricancha Temple, the Main Square and the Cathedral and then continue by bus to visit the archeological centers: The Sacsaywaman temple, Q’enqo, Puca Pucara and finally the Tambomachay temple. We’ll return to the hotel, and you’ll have a free evening.
At 8:30 am: We will make the full day excursion to Urubamba, the sacred valley of the Incas and the ancient Inca market town of Pisac. We will have lunch in Urubamba and then visit Ollantaytambo, the only Inca town that was not defeated by the Spanish. You will have a chance to explore the ruins before we take the train to Aguas Calientes about at 7 pm we take the train that brings us to Aguas Calientes town where our staff is going to pick up you and bring you to the hotel where our tour guide would be waiting for us to give you the last details for the tour in Machu Picchu.
Full-day excursion to Machu Picchu
The day starts with an early morning rise to transfer to bus station journey to the famous Inca Citadel of Machu Picchu, also known as "The Lost City of the Incas." Followed by a 30-minute bus drive, climbing 6km of winding road, to the incredible Machu Picchu. Upon arrival, we´ll participate in a guided tour of the Citadel, visiting the Main Plaza, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Sun Dial, the Royal Quarters, the Temple of the Three Windows and various burial grounds. After the tour, you will have time to stroll around the archaeological site at your leisure. Back to Cusco by train in the afternoon, transfer to the Hotel.
We will leave early from Cusco, at morning we’ll cross through the Pampa de Anta “once we are in Chinchero we will be surrounded by beautiful scenery and also see picturesque villages in the Andes. We’ll arrive at the salt mines of Maras, where we can see salt wells and the extraction process, as you know this was exploited by the Incas to supply the entire Inca territories with salt. Then we’ll continue to observe Moray. They were centers for agricultural experiments built in circular form, produce eco-climates for the plant's adaptation. Finally, we’ll visit the town of Maras, and then return to Cusco city.
Free day in Cusco. At the indicated time you will be picked up from the hotel to take them to the airport.
